How to get to level 5? Spoilers

I've done all I can and I'm 870 xp short. I now need to go to the mountain pass. I can't kill the hag as she's level 5. I've destroyed the goblin camp. I've search everywhere. I've stated the underground area but was facing hard enimies.

Don't be scared of the hag you can take her out at 4. You do all the other act 1 stuff? Spiders under the village? Gnolls? Early underdark stuff?

You need to do the Underdark sections to hit level 5. I'm not sure if you're mullticlassing but you may want to reconsider if you're struggling as most classes get a huge power spike at level 5.

Have you done the underdark section under the blighted village? Or go into the main Underdark from the goblin camp; you'll level to 5 quickly within it.

It honestly depends on how you played and how many quests you did. Did you get Karlah and dealt with the folks at Toll House? Did you let the bandits go at the Crypt or did you kill them? How did you resolve the Zentarim quest? Did you complete side quests like rescuing the guy in the burning inn?

Karlah yes. Don't know about toll house. I dealt with the Crypt. Did Zentarim quest. Rescued the guy in the inn.

I went through the goblin camp. I'm in the spider lair atm just trying to pick up xp.

It's important HOW you did the Zents quest. XP-wise, it's probably the best to refuse to deliver the cargo and deal with the Zents in their hideout. Toll House is a group of assassins sent after Karlah. I think you'll pick up 250-300 XP from them easily.

You can also do early underdark, I think. If you cleared Zent hideout then they have a way to Underdark where you'll get a drop on those Minotaurs - you'll be shooting fish in the barrel. And then you can do the Myconid's first task and likely finding the mushroom picker.

Sometimes bosses in this game have higher level than your party. It is totally fair considering 4 lvl 4 dudes are more than enough to kill her. The real trick is in trying to rescue the prisioner before they are killed.

just feather fall your team and with 2 or 3 jumps you can do the whole path without even going trought the traps. Later on you can go there but I think there aint no relevant items.

underdark east side is a like burning area, there is a small hole, if u jump in u can reach kuo'toa fish people, just slay them. they are easy to kill and like free exp, most people miss them.

There are some harpies on the beach you can reach from inside the druid grove, you might have missed them - they should be good for a hand full of xp ( more so if the kid is still alive )

For reference:
I thought that mountain pass / underdark would be act 2 - so I did every overland quest outside of the transition to those two zones - that got me to level 6. So there is xp to be had I guess you might just have missed a few areas, look for black spots on the map :)

An easy way to take out the Hag is to use protection against good and evil

Magic Missile trivializes the Hag. When she summons her clones, just hit each one and they'll disappear.

Dude the Hag is pretty simple....just don't kill her or you will miss out on something.......
