Glut and Spaw Aggro bug

There is a choice to make. Either to side with Glut or Spaw when Glut brings up that he wants to take power from Spaw. But no matter the dialogue option I make, if I side with Glut, then betray him and kill him, everyone else aggros. When I say I want no part in it, Glut Aggros, I kill him, then Spaw Aggros when I try to talk to him and tell him what happened. If I tell Glut that if he wants blood I'll give it to him, Kill Glut, Spaw Aggros. For the record, the only thing Spaw says before I attempt to speak Glut is "Peace-Bringer, be at home". He does not have any dialogue options. Am I missing something?

Have you already killed Nere?
That might advance the quest for you and break the bug.

Yes, Nere is dead, that is how I got the title of Peace-Bringer with Spaw.

I considered that perhaps I need to move up to Spaw during the combat and have him speak with me, like the Head Gnoll outside of the cave near where you pick up Karlach. But it seems that wont work either.

I just did the Spaw quest yesterday, it didn't matter whether or not I initiated dialogue I didn't get the bug. Might be worth reloading an earlier save.

Never kill anyone in a settlement - it's not hard to follow.

Can't kill him while have him follows you to kill Duegar or kill him after you kill Duegar and lead him out there to see dead Duegar then stab him????????

Ah I see. He went back to the settlement cause I went back to the Duergar to deal with the Forge. I suppose I just need to lead him out of the settlement now
