So I went to the Adamantine Forge

When I come back from the difficult fight against the Grymforge Boss, Nere is dead and all the duergars are gone.

Should I reload even after spending so much time trying to do the adamantine forge... damn it.

Yeah if you want to complete the Nere line. If you go to long rest after talking to him he dies. You can go to the forge any time, my first play I missed it and went back after I completed most of act 2.

I have no clue what you want us to tell you. There are numerous paths to get to the end of the game.

I missed a ton on my first playthough by accident and also chose not to take the pass. Which makes my second play a lot of fun and a different experience. If you're thinking of doing a second run maybe just skip forge for now? IMO the equipment if very good if you complete Underdark then go to the pass, but if you're going into Act 2 soon after the forge I'd only grab the armor.

You can get different content with him dead, though.

You don't have to experience all the content if you're planning to do another run eventually. You can't even experience all the content in a single run anyways.

You don't have to save scum everything. You can just roll with the results you get.

You havn't missed anything important, it's a fun scenario to play through but you can do it again on your second playthrough.

Nere dies if you takes too long or leaves area as a party (using portal), going to camp counts leaving too.

Don't worry about it. The game was built for replaying in mind, you will see new content for many new characters you take through the acts.

I did it anyway, I reloaded and enjoyed the fight against nere with my duergars allies who rebelled.

Now I completed the way to the adamantine forge and I'm ready to take on the Grymforge boss again, which took me 1 hour to beat the first time but now I know how.

That's a fairly mean troll. There's no new content for different characters.
