[SPOILERS] Order of Operations for desired outcome

I am currently attempting to:
1. Kill Gortash
2. Save the gondians
3. Disable the steel watch.

However, it seems like there's a bit of a catch 22, or I'm missing something,

I cannot save the gondians, because using the submarine alerts Gortash and he detonates the place

I cannot kill gortash because I need to defeat the steel watch facility

I cannot defeat the steel watch facility because I need to save the gondians.


I've only just arrived at the iron throne, but can someone tell me WHICH ONE I do first to get my desired outcome? If I go to the throne, are the gondians able to be saved? Or does the place get destroyed and people die?

You can just clean house Wyvrm's Rock Fortress ahead ceremony, then make way up pluck Gortash's head off then save Gondians and go destroy Steel Watch.

The whole purpose of the Iron Throne is to save Gondians, Omelumn and Duke.

Do the iron throne first. Gortash will detonate the place but you can save everyone in it with a turn limit. So bring your speed potions and teleports. :)

Iron Throne gets you the desired outcome. If you didn't give the githyanki egg to lady esther in act 1, pick up the quest in the society of brilliance first

I kinda murdered her for suggesting I steal an infant... I wonder if I can still do that

I've tried killing Gortash first and it auto blows up the iron throne killing everyone in it.
