No Vegan Mode?
As a vegan, the fact you can eat animal food in this game really puts me off.

Way back when I was 9 years old I have realized (I am 19 years old now) that eating animal food is unacceptable and immoral for me, and ever since I no longer consumed any animal related products.

Eating is not necessary in the game yes, but restoring HP is nice and you are also being rewarded with additional temporary buffs (but some people claim otherwise).

It also triggers dialogue options at the end of the day based on what people told me, that's an interest way to expand the mechanic so I'm not skipping it, if true.

It's like drinking more than half of the bottle but then throwing it in the trash can, you lose some amount of money this way.

If I'm going to buy a game at its full price I can only justify the purchase if I am going to explore it all, 100%, everything it has to offer.
It's just how I am.

Is there an option or a mod to remove everything except for the vegan food?
I don't want to see any other food but plant-based one.
I want to be in my comfort zone.

Thanks in advance.

I’m on my third play through and I’ve never encountered any special dialogues based on what food I choose for the Long Rest at the end of the day, nor have I seen any buffs associated with it either.

I’d suggest you just only ever pick up veggies for your supply stash.

Problem solved

This exact post was made months ago. It was average bait then, but reusing it is just lazy.

I don't even get the point - it's too obvious, nobody is going to take it seriously

Gods this forum is even more prone to bait posts than Monster Hunter: Rise snd World forums...

Anyways, I'm a Glutton for punishment and I will give my opinion as if you were being serious, OP:

Baldur's Gate 3 is set in a medieval fantasy setting and particularly your party is meant to be experiencing some level of food scarcity from a story perspective.
Veganism, in itself, is not a bad lifestyle, but it is one born in luxury, as you either need to be very particular about what you eat to meet your nutritional requirements and not suffer adverse effects or use supplements to replace missing nutrients, particularly iron and B-vitamins.
Your party is not living that luxury. They will scrape together whatever edible scraps they can find (Shadowheart will even comment on that in the epilogue, stating how she remembers one evening where the party had nothing but fish heads and stale bread) in hopes of gathering their strength for whatever tomorrow will throw at them.
You hopefully wouldn't expect people living through famine to adhere to your morals and ideals, and under that logic, it should be more than justifiable for your party to be eating fictional animals to sustain themselves.

It would make for an interesting challenge run in tactician difficulty, though.

Your "obvious" is subjective, and isn't okay for you to be so rude by saying it's not serious, and disragarding it because you're so full of yourself and thing someone else's are a joke because you see no issue with it on your part.

Hello???
Do you know different peopke sx
Switching to another account to try to contribute more baiting would be a little less obvious if you didn't have basically the same profile.

Sorry, you don't get to choose what the Sword Coast has in their pantries.

I just know of one debuff for choosing certain foods: if you have only alcohol, not only will you get an achievement, but your party will be hungover in the morning.

Perhaps not, but you can help yourself to their contents either way.

My problem is not realism, my issue is animal food.
I do not care about "muhhh story and muhhhh realism".

All I want is a mod that removes animal food.

What are you even talking about?
Elaborate?

But looking at your QR code profile picture avatar that if scanned leads to Cheese Pizza material you're not here to be serious.

What?
We're not on the 3rd date for you to be skipping to that party with me yet.

OP clearly doesn't want to see anny animal food in this game.
Do you just ignore threats, for instance?

I thought not.

The OP is therefore being ridiculous. The solution to not wanting their characters to eat meat is for the player to not collect any meat.

How am I ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ being ridiculous if I literally throw up if I see animal food?

Then you shouldn't purchase this game, or any other that features food, as a matter of fact.
