Anyways...
Tutorial if you want to try yourself: https://www.nexusmods.com/baldursgate3/mods/8240
A quick nexus search: https://www.nexusmods.com/baldursgate3/search/
(You'll have to type in voice yourself)
Even an 'orc style preset' https://www.nexusmods.com/baldursgate3/mods/2100
*I haven't tested any of these mods, so good luck.
Anyways, the point is the limited range in voices that comes with the base game. I usually end up making a human because none of the voices fit a dwarf, a half-orc, or a dragonborn.
I even think a silent option for Tav would have been nice.
That is an option. Somewhere in your settings you'll find something that is how often you hear the selected character speak when interacting with the world. I don't know if it's under gameplay or sound, but it's definitely there. You can set it to 0 and your Tav will never make a peep. Unless you're casting a spell, but then just make up some weird lore about how that's just the parasite being posh or some ♥♥♥♥.
