Astarion act 2 romance bug report
I'm playing with friends in a co-op. I'm having an affair with Astarion. Maximum approval. I play as a Tiefling.

In the second act, the scene where he confesses his love did not happen, which means that the romance with him broke down.

20 hours of game time ago, there was a scene where he was trying to make sense of his scars on his back. Since I'm playing as a Tiefling in this playthrough, I was able to tell him exactly what was written there, without any help from Raphael.

And only now, having got into such a bug in the game and studied the forums, I realized that it was a mistake. It is fundamentally important for Astarion to get information from Raphael. That's exactly what I did when I played solo for the first time as an elf.

At the same time, I did not meet a drow in the second act either in my solo passage (and this did not affect the novel with a good ending in any way), or in the cooperative one.

Are there cheats, scripts, or other quick fixes to this problem? Does anyone have any advice on what to do? Why the hell, if my character knows infernal, has the maximum relationship with Astarion, is it important for Astarion to hear information from Raphael???????

I have played as a tielfing before while romancing Astarion and that shouldn't affect any part of his personal quest related to deciphering his scars. If you said you never met that certain drow in act 2, then that's most likely the reason your romance never progressed with him. You need to have met and interacted with that drow then do the long rest scene afterwards. When you say the drow wasn't there, where exactly did you look? Was it before or after progressing past a certain point of no return?

The only other thing I can think of if you didn't find that drow anywhere despite looking in the correct location is that she may have moved to another room if you did something like cast minor illusion. On one playthrough I casted minor illusion while upstairs to divert attention so I could take out one of the spying things and that caused the drow to move up there permanently (until point of no return) but otherwise nothing else was affected with Astarion's quest.

As I said, my second walkthrough in the co-op is no different from my first successful solo walkthrough of the game EXCEPT for one thing - I told Astarion about his scars myself.

I didn't meet a drow in the first playthrough because I didn't go to the moon towers without harpers, not because she went wild. And this did not affect the successful romance with Astarion in any way. I mentioned the drow because everyone writes on the forums that a meeting with her is necessary in some cases, but I say no.

I am bursting with hatred, because, again, the only difference is that I did not get the information from Raphael, but told it myself. What the hell?

As a tiefling you can basically tell the writing is in infernal but nothing more about the profane rite of ascension the writing is tied to until talking with Raphael later. In fact, iirc if you pass an arcana check while not playing as a tiefling, you can recognize the language as well but that's it. Astarion literally tells you he wants to know more about what it means and brings up his own idea about asking Raphael about it. Being a tielfing who happened to recognize the writing has nothing to do with the romance breaking off later on.

I'm not sure how it was possible for you to successfully romance Astarion into Act 3 because yes, meeting with that specific drow and making certain dialogue choices will either make or break the relationship. If you don't meet or interact with her whatsoever, he'll break off the romance in Act 3. So are you in Act 3 now? Did Astarion say something about breaking up?

The other possible cause of triggering a breakup is following the rats in the shar temple and killing Lyrthindor before dealing with/killing Yurgir.
