How to get oathbreaker as a oath of vengeance paladin
I’m working on a build right now with minthara and she needs the control undead ability since I want to get a pet spectator to use it on it in the Shadowlands, but I don’t know how to get an oathbreaker as a path of vengeance. How do I do it?

good question. its super easy as a TAV but a companion im not so sure. I would try respeccing her to oath of ancients and just run up and kill an good NPC. Maybe someone at last light. there are guards around back and you could probably talk your way out of it

I gave her the devotion one and killed someone at the inn, but I kind of want to keep it as her default path rather than changing it

Well. if your changing to oath to oathbreaker. So your changing it not matter what.

I never liked oath breaker. The additional damage with aura of hate doesnt seem worth it and the AoE fear has like a 6% chance to land but thats me.

Give it a try, you might like it or your just playing it for the lore.

One sure way is in Act 2, by showing mercy to He Who Was' target. Does this work for you?

Since you wanna rid of oath asap, I only post Act 1 (DUrge-exclusive options not included):

Attacking Damays and Nymessa.
Freeing Sazza from her cage using the Paladin. Using a companion to free her won't break the Oath.
Prodding the exhausted bird on the table next to Nettie to death in the Emerald Grove
Torturing the prisoner in shattered sanctum.
Agreeing to attack the Grove with Minthara.
Stopping Komira from killing Kagha, if Arabella dies during her judgement.
Letting Auntie Ethel get away from the fight alive in exchange for her boon, even if Mayrina is allowed to go free.
Killing Sovereign Spaw after siding with Glut at the Ebonlake Grotto (Myconid Colony).
Siding with Nere after liberating him in Grymforge.
Killing Scratch

You seem to have missed that the OP wants *Minthara* to be an oathbreaker, and you can't have Minthara in your party in Act 1 at all. Even if you go back there after picking her up at Moonrise, she won't go.
