Is sadly not advisable, because you gonna get forcefully yeeted out of wildshape on every cutscene dialog. In fact Druid playthrough without mods fixing all of this nonsense make the experience pretty meh.
Not true.
The Shapeshifters Boon Ring grants the wearer +1d4 on all checks made while shapeshifted or disguised, and that includes Wild Shape. And you don't need mods to get it.
forgot about Dammon's Strange Cow put a ring on it......
......so one ring. Technically still Au naturel.
I wished the NPCs drank Animal Speaking potions. There are many, many around for them to do so.
Agree the yeeting to accommodate human form when a Speak with Animals potion is like drinking a Pepsi is nonsense....
Ok fair, ONE item. ONE <3
Fair, 2 items ;)
That is not at the beginning of Act 3 more like after you kill Orin in Act 3..... and that is if you did't dispose of all sewer dwellers....
*on me for sewer disposal....
To be fair, if you like me played Druid on launch day this armor was utterly bugged. So nothing was lost ;)
Beat the game a month after launch, which coincidentally after all these years, coincided with my birthday. Beat the game once in multiplayer, both times tactician. Cleared the dirty sewers both times. Multiple mid game stops in-between....
Now going for a multiplayer honor-run....... Which has been interesting. I lost count the deaths... lmao.
From lvl 7 Dryad is also gamebreaking cause of unlimited thorns ( along with the game's "questionable AI" ).
Out of form, druid has 20/21 AC and can play with Shillelagh and cast spells for both control, healing and damage ( after all, shapeshifter needs no str and a very limited amount of dex, so they can invest all they have in CON and max out WIS ).
The only thing I recommend as a shapeshifter is a warding bond spell ( we are currently lvl 8, and my life cleric has 100hp ), in order not to break the owlbear form and make a good use of the life cleric perks. Anything else is not required.
ps: If one want to exploit the game with bugs, iirc there are some class perks ( monk wisdom armor, fighter defense stance or the unarmored barbarian using a shield to say some ) that works while shapeshifted.
pps: before lvl 6 everything went smooth. If you want to be safe, just roam between locations and wait for lvl 5 before hitting ethel, broodmother and the beholder ( but it's not required ).
That's entirely false.
Also,
Wildshape is the utility of a health sponge.
(as Kappa states)
I can see how insane wildshaped druids would get with the in game gear availiable.
Unless you are Circle of the Moon druids want more shapely items that retain the magic in wildform.. which is understandable but I get the design decision to limit these things, you already get a deluge of items, one class gets the low magic treatment, makes sense to me it is the druids.
