Script extender does not work !
there is no message in the main menu

A WORKING SOLUTION FOR STEAM PLAYERS Download previous bin files using steam console: Open a command window "Run" by pressing «Win + R» and then enter the command: steam://open/console, and then press Enter. Type command: download_depot 1086940 1419652 8231067205656009020 [<delta manifestid>] [<depot flags filter>] : download a single depot It will download previous unbroken exe files. Just copy and paste them into BG3 bin folder, and everything will work.

Dude? why post about it here? The developer of the mod is likely working on it already, no need to post. they probably have a ton of people spamming their DMs and such. you're just making it worse. Don't pressure these people you ingrate.

I'm not putting pressure on anyone, I didn't know that the problem was in a small hotfix

Patience patience patience :-)

Not only BG3SE has to be updated. NativeMod dll also. So we have to wait now :-)

thank you, of course, but I'd rather wait for an update from the author now I'll ask questions on houses requiring SE, I just didn't know where to write about problems with SE.

When the SE is updated, it will update itself.

Ive done all this and my game is stil lsaying no script extender is installed

The fix worked all night, I turn my PC off to get dinner and the fixx is no longer working and my save is modded to all hell so... can't really play it if the SE isnt't workling :/

Dont get me wrong i'm on same boat, i have about 70 mods and at least 10 requires the extender. All i can do is wait. Or start a new vanilla save (but not really in the mood for restart). Sadly we choose to mod, we know this can happen.

For the 80th time, a patch or a hotfix can break your mods, Larian does not update their game by wondering what impact it will have on your mods, they don't offer any official support. I don't believe they deliberately try to break mods, but they are just not factoring them into account.

If you are going to mod your game, please freaking be aware of this, and then be sure to update your mods when they break, but also, yeah, whether we are talking about Norbyte or anybody else, it can take them a few days to update and fix their mods, remember they are doing this as a hobby and are not getting paid to do it. Be thankful they do it at all.

Some modders just abandon their mods on Nexus and never update them even after they break, leaving them as abandonware. While I won't trash anybody who provides things for the community, ... I still wish they wouldn't. And if after they've been abandoned, nobody's updating them, and they still don't work ... they really should be taken down. "JMHO".

huh? How that? It is still working here. I just checked the date of the files and they didn't get updated or overwritten.

Why did it suddenly STOP working when it was working fine just 25 mins ago?
