A WORKING SOLUTION FOR STEAM PLAYERS Download previous bin files using steam console: Open a command window "Run" by pressing «Win + R» and then enter the command: steam://open/console, and then press Enter. Type command: download_depot 1086940 1419652 8231067205656009020 [<delta manifestid>] [<depot flags filter>] : download a single depot It will download previous unbroken exe files. Just copy and paste them into BG3 bin folder, and everything will work.

Perhaps the courier is simply a bit slow and has not yet arrived.

For mods related issues consult the mods authors.

I am sure that most players play with mods + I do not know how to contact the author of SE

None of what you wrote can be true. That mod author is one of the easiest to contact.

Yes 100%. I was playing BG that day. Then i left for an hour - that tiny fix downloaded. I came back to game - everything is broken down

No. The problem comes that when you mod a game, this things have to be taken into consideration.

I can understand when people complains about, hypothetically, a fictional company called "EA" decided to do some update, be it on their game or luncher, that has not been done in years and still kill the mods.

But this is a game that is still being regularly updated (and quite obviously, not finished), and the mods are likely to die with every patch.

Seriously, just wait patiently for the modders to do their update.

the fact is that I reinstalled all the mods and ironically finished installing the build directly under the fix and thought that I had installed the mod incorrectly

We came here to discuss our mutual problem. It is not about good or bad - it is about the problem itself. I was searching forums after 16 hotfix when it killed Mod Fixer - i found Script Extender. We are going to solve it or leave the game

So based on my experience - probably Mod Fixer (alternative to extender) can help - i will try and tell you

It usually takes a day or two before script extender is updated after a patch.

The solution regarding mods and game updates is to patiently wait for the mod creators to update their mods. That's a standard that people who mod their games should be willing to accept or they shouldn't mod their games.

There's your solution. The patch didn't break a thing. Modding did.

Also, don't be a pest to the modders. You're not their bosses, and they're not paid to create mods for you. Be appreciative, not entitled.
