Gimblebock and his buddies at the Crypt
Anyone ever not killed Gimblebock and his party, if so does he or his party show up in later acts somewhere?

i always killed him so far, thinking of not doing it this time around.

Nope, they disappear for good. But don't you get the same experience from shooing them away without a fight?

If they just disappear for good(highly likely) from the game i would hate to lose on xp hahaha as always.

Minimaxing if that's the case you can let them go and kill them after for twice the xp...

How can you not kill them

It’s an easy takedown of two of them if you hit the weight

And if you’re behind the archer his life expectancy is negligible

The only one to fight is the wizard

And it’s all easy early game loot

Well if anyone can corroborate that again it would be super cool. But yes thx i was thinking as much thx for the info, just wanted to make sure.

Well first you tell them to leave with one of the ability checks normally class check. That give you 50 Xp for peaceful completion.

Then you attack them with a basic attack and they all go hostile and you kill them for i think 70 extra XP that you would get for hostile completion of the event and you get the loot.

Normally you only get one of those xps... Lots of events like this one can be done this way for extra XP.

Most kills like that don't get registered by the game anyway and it's like they never happened. Meaning you get free xp and loot.

I'll take your word for the additional XP, but I am sure that they disappear entirely whatever you decide to do.

FWIW I usually kill them, being careful not to get entangled or drop down the hole, since they have gear I want. :)

You encounter his group early in the game and their equipment is of value to me when they are encountered. I always kill them.

Plenty of xp in this game. Shooing them away is bad ass.

Their friends in the crypt are less lucky.

I always finish inside the crypt before even meet them. Back door is fun.
BTW you get different dialogue is you came from the crypt and start speak with them.

I think I always pass checks to get these guys to run off and I've never seen them again, As for the group in the crypt I always killed them so no clue if they ever show up again.

They not. Funny part that they have name for no real reason other then to Gimblebock name one of them. You can't even talk with them because they attack you no matter what. So naming them is kinda pointless.

Most such characters in the game just disappear, actually. Gimblebock and friends are never seen again. The two tiefs by Lae'Zel's cage are never seen again. The one on the bridge by the Mountain Pass entrance is never seen again. Etc.

I usually kill them just for the fun of the fight. It's not really murder-hoboing if they start the fight, right?

Well until recently it was pathetically easy to persuade them to leave by just having Lae'Zel do the fighter dialogue at them. I generally save dropping the block into the basement for when my characters are already down there, so everyone else can run into a room and huddle around the oil barrel I conveniently put there.

Anyway no, none of those guys ever show up again.

i mean it's ok for some of them not to show, way of like...

But it would be nice to see some later like you see Aradin let say. Just gives more weight to your choices..

Edit: Thank you all for the confirmation. My minimax feels better now knowing that.

Now only if they had more HP so it would actually be a fight the mage gets one-shot all the time.
