When does Tav get a tent?
It sucks that I do all the work and my Tav has to sleep in the dirt on a sleeping bag. Please tell me it gets better or that there is a mod out there somewhere so that when I finish this first runthrough, I can mod myself a tent

Notice everyone has a tent but the sleep animation they’re around the fire?

Making the tents meaningless anyway

It's incentive for you to romance a companion and share their tent.

j/k :er_sweat:

Tav needs a tent.

Yeah. Tav does need a tent. Its kind of sad really. I am new to the game and just started playing it yesterday, but have been addicted to it so far. But i feel so left out at the campsite lol

That would make it hard for me to creep on my smoking hot Tav while they sleep.

Yeah, you eventually get a Stronghold type dwelling, which has quests and upgrades etc, a different one depending on what character class you started the game with. Just like BG2.

Oh wait, you don't - you hire a communal room and sniff La'zel's farts all night :)

Best sequel ever :/

this game needs a base to decorate.

What we need is settlements...and a guy to tell us when they're in trouble.

Those strongholds are all annoying. The only one at all interesting is the bard playhouse. At least it has an amusing plot where you are managing the production of a new play. The thief stronghold is just the worst -- constant micromanaging. Gaining the planar sphere is kind of fun, but once you have gained it, it's boring.

The best stronghold in the game is not even a stronghold. It is the house in the temple district where you have to defeat the people who currently live in it. But you get the Celestial Fury and you get a room with about a dozen chests in it, which makes it easier to manage your inventory.

Strongholds, houses, bases, etc. in most games like this are usually just a place to stash your stuff. And often a way for the game to adjust the runaway economics by letting you sink your money into buying them.

I have to agree on all points.

Even stronghold building in AD&D and BECMI got boring fast. Except in Glantri....the political intrigue that could spring up there was breathtaking.
