Jaheira's... Children? (spoilers)
I hope they're supposed to be something like adopted children... Because 2 of the 4 cannot be her biological children... AT ALL... And the green one would have a LOT of (silly) explaining to do as well as the ages of the younger 2...

I truly dont understand how people even think they are her biological kids

Some people don't pay attention to anything until it waves a wooden sword in their face liek Jhessem did
Or know that is one of the things Harpers do has a whole if the members can afford to

Obvious subtextual clues are really hard for some folks to pick up on based on some discussions around here.

You might kinda wonder how she gave birth to the half orc Jord, no?

As others have said, some feel children should be seen and not heard, but you can talk to these ones.

But I'm willing to tell you - and you can find it at BG3.Wiki - they are all adopted wards.

Talked to them... Jord and RIon both call her "mother", but they would anyway, adopted children would also address her by mother... And I found no dialogue explicitly allowing me to ask that (irl it would also be a rude question, btw). In any other game I would not ask myself this question but since I saw an elf sporting a beard (The Professor) among other things I believe Larian's logic can be anything...

But OK, adopted then, as they should, for once :)

I don't understand this thread. Can anyone explain it to me please? :-)

Jaheira has a home in BG, in that home are 2 children and 2 juveniles who call her mother (and are quite upset she hasn't sent news for a while). 2 are HUMAN (couldn't be bio children, they'd have to be half-elves), one is an high half-elf, she surely could be her daughter and the other is an half-orc (technically possible but... I'd like to hear that silly story, lol...). The ages of the smaller are also somewhat conflicting with her not having a relationship (or at least that we know of or are hinted of) so little time ago.

She WAS married at least ONCE though... to many of us, in our own alternate realities of EACH INSTANCE OF bg2 :)

Sorry for teasing you, just remember she is a Harper first when it comes to these things, and a lot of reasons for the titlel those who help

So ... Khalid died before they had any kids.
CHARNAME might have been in a relationship with her in BG2/ToB ... whether that led to marriage or children was never discussed even if you got to the endgame of her romance.

Unfortunately, it's canon in BG3 that CHARNAME was named Abdel Adrian, and never married or had kids with Jaheira.

Doesn't Jaheira have one daughter with her deceased husband and the rest are adopted/wards?
Her deceased husband was also a half elf and none of her kids are half elves so biologically impossible.
Also chronologically impossible, as her husband died over a hundred years ago and the begining of BG2. And we know that BG2 and it's follow up expansion Throne of Bhaal took longer than a pregnancy since one of the other love interests from that game, Aerie, can meet the protagonist, get into a relationship, get pregnant and give birth before the end of the story.

She could actually have a human kid if she had a child with a human but even if we were to assume she had a relationship with a human Charname the timeline doesn't match up.

It;s canon to Forgotten Realms in general that that armoured block of wood was Gorion's Ward but I appreciate that Larian keeps it vague so we can all pretend otherwise for a bit...
Seriously, why on Earth or Toril did they canonise those books? I've never met anyone who actually liked them.
