Running straight from exe it will not try to do the update.
File can be found on their PC in this directory:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Baldurs Gate 3\bin
Any success with keeping playing after the patch #6? I've got Mac, and my friends have PC's. I asked them to do exactly what you suggested: to run the .exe file without ruining Steam. It works. But when I host our multiplayer game - they cannot connect :( Ruining Steam after the start of the game didn't help either. How do you guys connect to the multiplayer game, could you please explain in more details?
