Sorry, but BG3 is indeed "woke"
If you're like me, you've repeatedly asked anti-wokists to define what "woke" means and got nothing in response. Well, let's think about the properties that are called "woke" to see if we can extrapolate its meaning.

Star Trek? One of the most successful sci-fi franchises in history, beloved by the vast majority of viewers.
The Barbie movie? Made over a billion dollars.
Captain Marvel, Black Panther, and so on - all over a billion dollars as well. In fact, the MCU (a Disney property - another thing that's called "woke") is probably the most successful movie franchise ever, with Endgame becoming the highest-grossing film of all time at the time.
Star Wars? Incredibly popular.
RATM? A great band with extremely popular albums.

See the pattern? These are all incredibly successful properties, beloved by the majority of viewers/listeners. They're popular and profitable.

Baldur's Gate 3, with its 96% positive review rating on Steam at nearly 600k reviews (and, in fact, it hit 98% at one point in recent reviews), being the best-selling cRPG of all time, the best-selling game on every single platform that it was launched on, and with its multiple GOTY awards, is, by any reasonable metric, one of the most successful games of all time. Therefore, it MUST be "woke", by the definition we've extrapolated based on the modern usage of the term. QED.

Thank you for your time.

Think about it - you might end up with amusing facts like how religious texts translated by Martin L. turn out whatever you define XXXX.
Indeed, but the anti-wokists refuse to define it, which is why I had to extrapolate the meaning from its usage.
woke will mean successful so yes bg3 is super woke

I hope not, because that'd mean people would be arguing against objective reality. BG3 is one of the most successful games of all time and "woke" is applied to successful properties all the time, therefore BG3 is "woke".

I tried to do that and my thread got locked.

Meanwhile, a political screed against "wokeness" (undefined) in the game that "the RIght" is supposed to "Unite Around" clearly written by AI ... is still going strong.

If my attempt to define a word everybody is using on these forums is off topic ... why exactly is that copypasta on topic?

BTW, OP, have some points.
