I ask because the most foolproof solution is to clear out all of the games appdata.
win+R and paste
Rename the Baldurs Gate 3 folder as a backup if you like.
The game should generate a new one and redownload your cloud saves.
Did you excersise the game update routine? If yes share a DxDiag report.
I do not. I assumed that by uninstalling everything would be erased in the appdata dir. Is this not the case? Can I do this now as well or do I have to do this, then uninstall and reinstall?
I did yes. You mean the contents of the txt file generated from save all information or something else?

No your personal data will allways remain when uninstalling a game from steam.
You need a tool like Revo uninstaller or similar to get rid of appdata when uninstalling apps.
It's not normally somthing you want to see.
I got one today trying to use vulkan engine...
It has to be in full. Either via a webhost service like Dropbox, Google Drive, MEGA or pastebin.com e.g. for sharing such information
Yeah it's easyer to read and analyze as full, but I understand if people don't want to share sids and computer specs due to security.
The DxDiag report is nothing you can actually do something about with, unless you either know that specific person or the person uses a doxxing user entry there, such as email address for their PC name.
If one is paranoid about such, they should not be able to post on the forums considering the standard data collection from your Steam account.
Although I cannot rule out hardware issues, I was playing this and many other games fine all this time so it seems highly unlikely that it is anything other than something installed through the last patch.
I am currently redownloading and reinstalling the game after removing the appdata files as you suggested and will post the results here again.
Hopefully it works. There was no need to redownload the game though as it was already verified.
The game would have generated fresh appdata ;)
Insert Luke meme :).
Thank you in any case.
Btw: 101 bluescreen is normally somthing I only see when pushing the Hardware a bit to far when overclocking. Are you running a bit hot perhaps?
