Loading stuck at 75% since last patch…

Hi everyone,

Since the last patch I can’t loading my party (loosing more than 30hour of game), the loading stuck at 75%.
I had the « lvl 20 mod », but I have reinstall all the game without the mod, and the problem is the same. Always loading 75% stuck.
As someone the same problem ? Or solution ?

Even if you uninstalled the mod your saved games would be corrupted.

Reinstalling the game will not remove the mod, nothing in %localappdata%/Larian Studios are removed when uninstalling the game.

Remove any mods if any.

You might also need to clear the LevelCache folder.

cache and mod folders are clean but nothing. it stuck at 75%.
strange things: that's a party with 137hours and a save on the same party with 101h is working. all saved beyond stucks...
im afraid to have lost 25% of my storie.

I have the same problem, one of my saves, the one I am 85% done with just wont load... but my 45% has no problem. Also happened after that same update, but I have no mods, and never have had any

After the explanations and the fact you tried the fixes presented it sounds like a memory leak of some sort.

Meaning those files cannot be fixed.

New game would be the only option.

Hopefully when we get the mod kit and the definitive edition said problems will cease to happen.

I use no mods and this same thing happens to me

im having the same problem it happens always in the underdark after the elevator gonna try and reinstall tomorrow, might be the problem since i didnt download the game on a single day hope it get fix.

It's likely not mods. Modded save files that fail to load (as in, due to having incompatible new version of a mod with the previous mod version, like updating an armour mod where versions aren't set correctly. Or just incompatible with new game version. Or uninstalled a mod that can't be removed after installation etc.), will load to 100% briefly, then will go back to 75%, then fail and take you to the BG3 start screen and some server error notification if you continue to the main menu.

In two of the three above cases the issue can be fixed by removing all instances of the mod from the player/party, like disappearing all custom armour into merchant/Summon Tutorial Chest then saving. You're out of luck with a custom race mod save unless you change from custom race back to a default one with another mod. That sort of thing.



However again, if you're only loading to 75% and freezing it's likely something else. I also think a while back I might have encountered this issue maybe in the same place (underdark elevator). Can't remember how I fixed it.

I might have had to reroll like someone above mentioned and redo from a (latest) working save. Actually I think that's exactly what I did.

One of the reasons I won't play Honour Mode. :D :D
