Question about hair and face MODS.
Does anyone know if Mods for just hair and faces also make the game stop working after patch updates?

dunno, I'd say it depends on dependencies :steamhappy:

for example if they require ImprovedUI as they usually do, then they will

Well, depends...
The best place to check are pges of the mods.
If the mods don't have dependencies, like e.g. BG3SE, for example the Vessnelle's Hair collection, most probably they will work. Other maybe not

If they are reskin of existing faces, then they should not, as they are just textures.
If it's something more complicated....eh, who knows

I don't really like using MODs, because this game has a lot of updates and I have to reinstall everything with each patch, but it's undeniable that the face and hair Mods, among others, make this game something far superior to the original work. I wonder why the BG3 team doesn't make a official version of the best MODS and make something official like DLC for us.

True, but Larian stated several times that they don't officially support modding.

Nevertheless the majority of the most popular mods are usually very fast updated by the creators. For example, BG3SE update was released yesterday and lots of lots of the mods already been updated.

Personally, I've been using mods for years now and yes, it can be a pain with official updates but if you have a bit organization, it goes actually well.

I updated the Script Extender and all my (dozen or so) mods work now.

It is possible depending on how the mod is coded.
