Unconfirmed character changes not saved

My online co-op partner is getting this error pop up when I save as the host. I can’t find anyone else discussing this error. Anyone else seeing this, or know the implications or solution?

Same! That pop appearing in my single game when i try to make quick save and "Someone is redacting character now" appears when i try to save using menu

Weird! When I did a named save, my coop partner did not see any errors. Just when I quicksave. Only since the new update, but that could be anecdotal.

On Solo Play, I am getting that message about every other time I do a quick save. When I do a full save I get "someone is editing a character - unconfirmed changes will not be saved"

Okay, I was having this issue as well and was able to fix it. I had clicked on the appearance editing mirror at some point when I rested and started experiencing this message about my saves afterwards... I went back to the mirror in camp, re-entered my character name (every time I click the mirror it defaults back to 'The Dark Urge'), hit confirm, and stopped getting the error. I'm not sure if non-durge characters are having this issue, but might be worth trying regardless.

I also saw this issue and was able to fix another way: I had some characters that were leveled up to current xp and others that still needed to be levelled up when I started getting the issue. Once all of the charcters were leveled up to current xp, saves worked normally.

So glad I'm not the only one who had this issue. Used this fix on a non-durge character, single game, and it worked.

This worked. But I didn't need to alter my name at all. Just going into the Magic Mirror screen and selecting Confirm did the trick.

This started happening to me but I have never used the mirror and am not a dark urge PC. I do have people in camp that haven't leveled, but if I have to go to camp and rotate all the companions through my party and level them each time I level up this is going to be ridiculous.

Just got this too, tried to fix myself in the mirror and also level up everyone, neither fixed it!

This worked for me, even though the error in my game was not triggered in the same way (I had not used the mirror). Thank you.

I got this error and was able to fix it. Between saves, I had popped into camp to swap in Astarion to open some locks, with no long rest. I sent him back to camp and We leveled up in the meantime. I had to pop back into camp, level up Astarion before I was able to save. Also, Karlach had a persistent 'silenced' condition even after we were out of the silenced area. That cleared up after leveling up Astarion as well.

This worked for me on my Dark Urge playthrough aswell. I had the issue come up right after a Durge cutscene in Act 3, and was easly fixed this way. (Im also not using 'The Dark Urge' as a name this might be related)

Thank you! Just started getting this error (hot fix #20, macOS) after leveling up and visiting the mirror worked!

I also was having this issue with a Durge run.
Previously, I didn't use the magic mirror and there weren't any pending changes.
Using the magic mirror at camp cleared the error.
