Abdirak is not working

Trying to get the permanent buff for my character and every time I go to face the wall, he won't hit or do anything. I talk to him again and he just says to face the wall.

I've reloaded my saves like 3 times, standing right up against the wall like I had in previous gameplays and still nothing.

Same problem here, I tried grouping back the team and ungrouping, taking a long rest right before, switching controls between the companions etc. and nothing, still no pain for my Tav

I have done this in every gameplay, I'm currently on #6 as this is my first durge run. It's just not working.

Not working for me either. I moved my party away, tried turn based mode to move them around, grouped and ungrouped, long rested, left the camp and returned, etc. and he just kneels then glitches back to a standing position and doesn't resume the vignette.

This patch is so broken... first time I've uninstalled BG3 to wait for a new patch/hotfix/rollback lol.

I have the same. He standing in the same position holiding mace and do nothing. The dialogue works normally, except that he doesn't react when I stand in front of the wall.

To build on the post above with actual HELP - Go to your save before you had Abdirak spoken to. REMOVE ALL MODS. Speak to him without mods on, get the buff, turns mods back on. It seems Abdirak doesn't like to beat men and women in pretty clothing or with nicer hair. lmao

Note: any hair face or bodily cosmetics should pop back up upon loading in, but if you have custom clothing with basket of equipment or anything of the sort, you will need to buy the necklace/basket again and redress everyone.

This worked for me!

I was having the problem that Abdirak was not moving to the side like he should, but was stuck in a glitch loop of kneeling and standing. (If working right, he should walk around more.)
After removing every single mod, he finally functioned correctly. I think it was a preset heads mod that was the problem, in my case.
*AND I removed my chest piece. Just your back needs to be exposed, apparently.

After I got the buff, I reinstalled all mods. My modded face popped back into place, no problem, but I did have to go find and re-equip my mod-made gear which was a pain (pun intended), but worth the perma-buff.

If that doesn't work for you, other suggestions I have seen are:
-Uninstall and reinstall Mod Fixer
-Group or ungroup from your party
-Switch to another party member and back

So he beat me off without any trouble, I'm playing with no mods for the 1st run. However, when I spoke to him pre-flagellation I traded him for his weapon. The mace. It cost me 400g in trash and another 900g in actual gold. When I went to equip the mace, it's not there. I'm guessing when lirian patched this they inadvertently broke something else. In this case, trading with abdirak, ar least for his weapon, is broken. So I'm out 1.4k gold and don't want to quickload because the only time u can trade with him is in the convo to get him to beat u and since I got the blessing I'm loathe to try and repeat the process. Just to check, I just murdered him and upon looting his body, yup, he's still got lovitar's scourge in his inventory. So it's not that the trade failed, I'm still out the gold, it just basically...

It kind of feels like I just paid him for a very spiritual S&M session. Except he's the only one who climaxed.
