Getting major lag after patch

Going into populated areas is lagging my game like crazy when it never did before. I tried updating my driver and moving my game to SSD, but the issue still remains. Messing around with settings does absolutely nothing.

Make sure your GPU driver is updated.

Look in the graphics and look for the crowd tag and dumb it down.

I'm not sure where that is, I'm looking under video settings and don't see such an option, and this applies to any area with a lot of NPCs, not just random crowds who you can't talk to.

I had 75 FPS before the patch, but now only 25

Same for me in the middle of a battle... so annoying... Not happened before the patch #6

yeah i remember getting 4k 60fps with a little bit to spare on max settings before the patch and now it hovers around 40 fps and maxing out my gpu

I've definitely taken a performance hit too.
Also lip synching seems to break from time to time.

And any time I interact with a Shop/Trader the game LAGS HORRIBLY, it's awful.

This is honestly the worst performance I've had with this game ever, and I played from quite far back in Early Access all the way up until now D:

i found the update routine online and did it, and it's still super laggy at Ultra quality, I've had to put it to Low just to function even slightly

switching to vulkan seems to have alleviated it a bit but still seems be stuck in the 50s
