Can't remove items from Traveler's chest after update 6.

So after waiting over an hour for this massively oversized patch to be downloaded, I now find that I am unable to take any items out of my traveler's chest in camp. When I attempt to take an item out I get an error saying "Cant use this right now." No mods installed at any point.

Anyone else run into this issue and know a fix? Pretty ridiculous that Larian forces this enormous patch on it that seems to do little other than make the game function more poorly.

I have this bug as well though I don't get a message, rather the chest only shows a partial open animation. I have several mods though I had to remove the script extender ones as this patch screwed that up too

I have the same issue, plays the animation to open but nothing happens. To make it worse gale needs an item and the only ones i have are in the chest.

Works perfectly fine for me. Can place and remove bags, individual items, sets of items. Anything and everything.

Problem is with the Mods.

Are you trying to take stuff out of the chest directly or are you using the new ability to access the chest from the camp inventory?

Also, you don't have to update the game if you don't want. Just disable the auto-update feature for that game and put Steam in offline mode before starting. You won't have multiplayer but you'd expect to have to update for that otherwise you'd have conflicting versions.

I am Having this same issue there is no option to remove the items from my travelers chest

After this last update my traveler's chest only plays the animation to open but nothing happens too :/

I am getting the same results as OP (and yes no mods). I can drag items out of Traveller's Chest into inventory but if I double click on an item then weird things happen. If the item I double click is wearable equipment, such as weapons or armour, then the item becomes equipped to my character. If the item is anything else I get the same red "can't use this right now" message,

Same issue occurs in the trade menu. Double-clicking in the barter/sell menu equips usable items I want to sell and instead transfers my previously equipped good weapons and armour to the sell/barter. Lost my legendary pact weapon knife to a trader when I tried to sell a mundane club!

Will wait for the hotfix. Overall impressed and pleased with the scope of Patch 6. I trust Larien will quickly sort out the hiccups.

So i read on a post from reddit that now you can open the traveler chest on a button that should be below your companions potraits :) i was worried too, and this was my "way" to fix it. Hope it helps

I have the same problem, everything was normal before the last pach. Aside from the pick up option banishing, when I open the chest, it opens Astarion's inventoy.

After installing the latest patch, I can't move items between myself and merchants.
Every time I try to do this, the game crashes.

I can't trade anything and my bags are already just overflowing. Every time I get a bunch of loot, I get rushed to use a traveler's chest.
I don't have any mods. :-\

By what method were you trying to move items out of the chest? Dragging or right clicking? Because the right clicking no longer has the option to just pick up an item or item stack.

There is a chest icon portrait along the same axis as the companion portraits when you open the menu. Though imo its silly it defaults to a companion's inventory first.
