Did I break Karlach romance in act 3?

The romance scene with Karlach (date) didn't trigger because of the Mizora cutscene. It seems like it's necessary to take a long rest just before you enter the Lower City, otherwise the romance scene won't trigger. Meeting her friend, visiting parents' grave and finding Dammon didn't help. The only thing that worked for me was reloading a save just before I met Mizora and then I could have the romance scene, but I would lose 10 hour of gameplay if I continued from the old save.
The most impotant question is, will not having the date scene affect my relationship? Will it block me from going with Karlach to Avernus? I can still pick the dialogue option 'let's talk about our relationship' and I can still kiss her, so yes, we didn't break up or anything, but I wonder if not having the date might affect the ending in some way.

No, you'll still get the romance ending, but a shame if something borked Hot Date night, as IMHO it's the 2nd best 'romance' scene in the game after Minthara's.

It's just nicely done. Karlach starts giving off this amazing blue glow while it's happening unlike the normal reddish glow her infernal engine gives off ...

I'd show you the scene on youtube, but no shocker, it'd be heavily filtered and blurred.

It's good to hear. I got the scene when I reloaded the game, so I didn't lose the experience and got the achievement, however I wouldn't want to play again from this place and lose 10+ hours

Is there a mathematical advantage to in game from romances? I've never done any since I assumed not.

Nope. There are games where unlocking high loyalty/approval with a companion gives them or you buffs. This isn't one. (And even in those, romancing them on top of basic loyalty doesn't give you an additional buff.)

Maybe there's a mod out there that does it. If not, maybe I'll make one.
