for all the lovely xenophobic guys here, steam recommended price for Argentina 60usd is Argentine Peso ARS$ 649,99 ARS$ 3800,00 +485%

SO...
But steam doesn't care about the dev or publisher, they want to increase sales across their inventory. Those devs and publishers have to worry about their own balance sheets, which is why you often see publishers ignore steam suggestions.

I think you missed something, the 'bingo bucks' was a fictional example they made to avoid getting involved in a political discussion about a particular country's economy.

So it obviously wasn't in the top 10 GDP per capita since it's not real.

Also, I'm not sure what country you were trying to talk about - seems like the topic here was Argentina, which I don't believe has ever been in the top 10 gdp per capita (though it does pretty well for south america! Certainly doesn't deserve to be made fun of),

Saying this as a proud product of Capitalism.
^ ding ding. Exactly, BingoBucks was a pure hypothetical example. Why would I call some currency monopoly money when I have already shown that I am perfectly willing to call a spade a spade and comment directly on, for example, the massive decrease in value of the Turkish Lira relative to the USD (and of course, I refer to the USD because it is most widely held reserve currency and relative values of currencies are most often reported as being relative to the USD).
no one is talking about Turkish Lira and second you used bingobucks to make fun of nations who have this kinds of problems. Cos you are annoyed with posters from those countries by the looks of things.

Facts are, reginal pricing changed as did the store page... It's the highest of all, cleary on one even looked at other devs prices, how they priced their 60$ games oh wait sorry 59.99 lol that 1 cent is absurd as well btw.

Anyway they are all at least a few bucks lower compared to larians. i know that isnt a lot for you and me hell even 60 isnt much... so we don't care, not really but for people who have little it matters.

At least i can agree on erdogan rants, when they are on topic.
But that is not here or there and it's pointless to talk about cos you can't fix that on bg 3 forum. But this is the place to talk about pricing of BG 3.

Frankly if the whole euro/Usd prices would go up as well i wouldn't mind it as much now it looks like they are trying to greed it from the poorest nations instead of doing it with the richest, that can pay.

But yeah i guess changing Eu/Usd prices would get even more backlash... Especially if the price would cut the same amount into salaries of the rich as they do down south.

You shouldn't blame larian or your country for not being able to afford BG3. Larian wants money so that's natural, everone wants money. Your country doing bad is unfortunate but that doesn't mean you have to do bad as an individual. Successful people don't blame others and give up. Just copy paste some cat videos on youtube and after a few years of being friends with algorithm you will be a millionaire and can buy BG3 for yourself and all your friends, simple.

When sellers start adjusting prices on individual income, you let me know. Otherwise, this is just a rant. Not everyone in a "rich" country is "rich", same as not everyone in a "poor" country is "poor", but I don't see anyone adjusting prices based on how much a person actually makes.

These prices are set to make the most money possible for the sellers, and to hedge for future currency changes. This is likely why the change is more than one would expect - someone expects the currency's value to drop more.

It sucks to live in a place with terrible economic policies which totally devalue a local currency, but not much can be done there unless these countries get better monetary policies.

Yes there is lots you can do as an individual. No one is forcing you to have all your money in your national currency. You can exchange ARS for any currency or even buy commodities or stocks or best of all... crypto. Then it doesn't matter for you if your country is printing money and devaluing it. Then you can buy BG3 without caring which currency it is.

For some edge cases yes, but it's hard to go buy groceries at the corner store using Bitcoin. It would be nice if it was easier though. Even for something like Steam purchases, there's a lot of hoops that your typical consumer will not be aware of, or familiar with, so that's a fairly large barrier to most.

I remember situation with selling D:OS in Poland. Game was one one price on start, few weeks leater gone and back witk 50-70% bigger price + no Polish lang in game like was before release sayed.
Its your poor third woirld country which is the reason for the increase, not Larian.

Once again, for the 3rd time today

From the store page:

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?
“The price of the game will remain $59.99 USD / £49.99 GBP / 59,99€ EUR at launch. As Steam makes periodic changes to their recommended regional pricing to reflect changes in purchasing power and currencies around the world, the price in other currencies may change to reflect Steam’s most recent recommendations.”

Assuming you mean the Argentine Peso when you say ars it's currently worth 0.0044 USD. Which would place the game at ~13693 ars. So if it is at 9999 ars, then you're currently getting a discount in comparison. I feel for the countries doing crap economically right now, but this isn't new or unexpected.
Before price UP $1 was like 3,7 PLN, now it's like 4 PLN but price go UP a lot more.

25% price UP from day to day it's normal? In EU? When value of our money change a lot less?

Not really, before change price was near 44 Euro if you convert PLN into EUR. So much cheaper than it should be, about 25% cheaper - and that's increase we see in there.

Raise the prices cos they are warrant to. Come one give me a break that's why we have this inflations cos everyone is so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ greedy as you that and a bit of a shortage due to supply problems from covid.
UHM, no. inflation is due to lack of trust in the currency (and a bit of shortage as you said yourself). That lack of trust is due to people like you who speak highly of undermining economies by pirating and smuggling goods that undermine the price and stability of the system. So your greed is what is wrong, not the programmers need to survive fairly in the world. So you should give me a break instead buddy.

nah you are wrong and that's just fact. Inflation is caused by money printing by gov. Every time they print money they are stealing your money by devaluing it. Think about it, if you have 10 limited edition sneakers, they are very expensive lets say 10k for 1 pair of shoes. But then suddenly 10 more are produced and there's 20 instead of 10. That means the value of the shoes are now 5k each, so the people who bought for 10k each got ripped off. If governments could just print money without devaluing then they would never stop printing, just keep printing infinite money lol.
