The fact that you think Arrow was good at any point says a lot about your taste level.
A couple of seasons were actually not that bad. It sort of turned into a soap opera half way through.
That's true, at least it was more consistent than the Flash. Yikes @ that show.
You dodged a bullet because Arrow turned into a soap opera where Oliver just did stuff for his 'cool' girlfriend.
All that was missing was a spanish girl doing elaborate and overacted gasps. DC puts more faith in their movies than series, I guess. Aside from Doom Patrol, everything else was/is pretty... yeah. Haven't seen Peacemaker yet, though.
That was like the closest example of something I could think of of my impressions of what I've experienced in my playtime which isn't actually accurate since, again, I let someone else in the house play from time to time.
But unironically every ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ character you can romance just being lol pansexual is literally way more offensive to me as a bisexual than Sosiel being kind of... Stereotypey in a way in WOTR, and Daeran being literally the epitome of a harmful bisexual stereotype that gay/lesbian/straight ppl all use against us in their own ways, it's so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ cringe and childish. Romance in RPG's is honestly garbage and I wish the trend never ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ started, but alas, here we are, mass market appeal needs to be at the forefront, ♥♥♥♥ logical sense, we gotta do ♥♥♥♥ so a small number of ppl don't cry. Give me a break, grow some balls, and have some integrity as a writer instead of being cringe and pushing an idiotic agenda.
Wym you don't think that "run barry, run towards love" is a sign of them taking their TV shows seriously?
Literally every MCU movie entry has been some realistic edgy reimagining of characters for the big screen which they have massively ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up in some way shape or form be it with characters or because they didn't have the rights to certain characters so the actual ♥♥♥♥ they're more or less just ripping out of comics and combining together is hollow because it doesn't have all the components and is entirely propped up on SOME good writing moments, brand recognition, and heavy CGI wow factor that will captivate anyone with half a brain.
DC TV shows have been way more faithful than anything Marvel's done but still miss the mark, because they gave it to a soap opera network.
I don't care about it being faithful I care about it being good. Comic book writing is young adult novel level writing for the most part. Nothing DC has put out except for Suicide Squad (2) has been good. Marvel puts out some trash but not at the same rate that DC does.
Well, they are doing their own take on Marvel or rather version of it for the big and small screen. Basically a multiverse of it's own. Changing things up is not that bad, if they're planning on changing things anyway and not having it tie-in with the comics.
I don't remember DC being heavy on being soapy but more serious in tone than Marvel as a whole. Comic-wise, that is. As for DCU, they're trying a lot of things and some just don't work as they hope it would. E.g. the stuff Deathstroke did to Terra would probably never make it to DCU or it's shows.
