Suspicious meat

I found this very tall and very skinny meat, it's worth some camping supplies. Besides RP, does using it affect anything?

In my Dark Urge playthrough, i consumed it and it healed me i don't know about other characters though. Probably the same effect.

It just heals you. The 'suspicious' thing (and it's description) implies that it's human meat, but there doesn't seem to be anything else going on there.

That tall and very skinny meat is called Astarion. Its a (sometimes) useful companion
