Carry Weight Question

I am running a paladin (High Half elf) body style 4 (in case any of that matters..which i dont think it does as ive tested) with a 17 STR and carry weight is only 210.
i have friends that play and they are running a human druid and his carry weight is 400, and his other party members are in the 300 ish range.
He says he is playing with 0 mods. How is his carry weight so high....he was confused as well how mine is so low vs his. is there something in game that would make his whole party be able to carry almost double what my STR based char can carry?

Thats pretty easy to explain. You play with the 'metric' setting and your friends with the 'imperial' so they basically see all weight values doubled.

Just tested it on my 17 STR paladin:
- metric: 210
- imperial: 420

human versatility increases the weight that a human character can carry, literally one of the only reasons to be a human in this game

this is not the issue, I had 420 carry weight on my karlach, but for some reason, it has gone down to 230 today, idk if it was a glitch and it just got fixed or something.

Yea I actually just had this issue today, my barb with 19 strength at one point had 400+ carry weight and now he has 230. Idk if it was a bug that I had that got fixed or what the issue was.
