Guards are Hostile to me in Baldurs Gate (maybe Spoilers ahead)

is there any way to calm the Guards in Baldurs Gate?
got seen while i wanted to steal something and i dont wanted to go to the jail, so i killed the guards, now i get attacked by all others in the city, some way to calm them down?

sorry for bad english, not my native language.

depends if you left witness to that murder... if there were no witness, then you are good. if there are... well then other guards may attack you.

If they say "temporarily hostile" then you can escape from combat by getting far enough away from them and they should deaggro. If not, you may be SoL and need to reload a past save.

I believe a Long Rest can fix it

Already tried to long Rest, didnt worked.
Will try to run out of the next fight. If not so i have to load an older save ‚mueh‘ they should add an Guard chirf or something where i can go to him and pay for my crimes^^

yay *.* thank you, escaping from the fight helped me, i could talk again with the guards and could talk me out of my misery.
