An Honest Review (no fanboyism) From a mild critic.
I just finished the game so I thought i would give my 2 cents on it.

Let's get the score in first before we elaborate any further as to why I belief I score it this way.

The game is an 8/10 - It works, it's fun and does everything aspect of a video game quite well, though it has OBVIOUS flaws.

So why do I think it's an 8/10 and not a 10/10 as most people seem to praise this game as?
Well because the game is just "good enough" with most of it's flaws in writing and animations. Which is rare in modern gaming.
It's a solid RPG game with fun gameplay and good amount of replayability.
But compared to previous RPG games, there's nothing revolutionary or groundbreaking here. And I would say that some older RPG games do things much much better, especially in RPG ways like character choices in the whole story.
Before this I played through all of Fallout New Vegas again, and that game is like 10 years old and yet Baldurs Gate 3 does not really feel "bigger" and FNV was made, what within 2 years?
FNV also does story and player choice a lot better, as you can really approach any situation the way you like. Where as with BG3, it's more like choosing one extreme over the other; Extreme good guy that bends over for others, or an overly evil person who is just an A-hole.

Anyways, the game is good as in it runs well and there are very very little bugs and has fun gameplay. You're getting your moneys well worth if you like turnbased strategy games.

The obvious flaws however;
Is that this game was written with modern dialogue, people speak here (in a MEDIEVAL fantasy) as if it's the modern time. So expect to hear a lot of modern cussinig and things like "capitalism" and stuff like that.
Which is obviously immersion breaking and just weird overall.

What really hampers this game, is the writing (story and dialogue). There are many plotholes, things that happen that don't make any sense and overall just weird stuff in general.
It feels like it's written by a toddler, or atleast by someone with very little undertanding of how people actually behave and act in reality.
Which means that in almost every scenario and situation, there's only the option to choose between two extremes and no middle ground.
This makes it so that the writer plays the game for you, and you are forced ot do what the writer wants. Making it so that you almost can't play as a bad or evil guy, but only an A-hole.

Now as a side note I would like to adress the "Wokeism" in the game.
The wokeism in this game is quite minor but split up into two categories; Character creation, writing and romance.

There's obvious character creation wokeism in the character creation menu, that in the end does nothing. Which makes me thing the Devs just added it into the game just to please a vocal minority.
(they want to be inclusive but no boob slider? LMFAO)

The writing isn't really woke perse, but it's very noticeable that most leadership characters who are good are female and most male characters are either dumb or evil.
Most women you encounter here (well not exclusive to women but most characters in general though) are very very annoying. To the point where you almost want to kill them (I killed Astorian ASAP).

Romancing is another thing, in order to apease the woke crowd they made it so that EVERY character wants to lay hands on your pp/vag, if you show any signs of being nice to them.
This is so extreme that it almost sometimes feels like it's forced, crossing the lines of sexual harassement almost (some character just legit woke me up next to him naked out of nowhere).

CONCLUSION
The despite it's obvious flaws in story and writing which makes you want to skip cutscenes, is still fun to play when it comes to the combat and exploration, which is half the game i'd say.
But you would need to stomach a lot of cringey dialogue and poor animations.
