Oliver is missing

Hello, I killed Oliver's shadow parents. He said "mom dad" and disappeared without a portal. Now I can not complete the quest to remove the curse. Is this a bug or can it be found?

I have the exact same issue. I've tried every fix i've read online with no success...

The quest does not start finding oliver, that is why you cant complete it. duh.
Halsin tells you to exhaustion, you need to find a boy name THANIEL. Once you find THANIEL then you can complete the quest.

We know that, the issue is that we found Oliver first, killed him, and only then did the Thaniel/Portal Halsin questline

If you do that, the quest breaks; Halsin even has a special dialogue where you can tell him that Oliver is "dead", and he responds saying that he isn't, asking us to go back to Oliver's house again together, but nothing happens (at least to me)

I have the same issue. Did the developers not predict people would do this quest out of order and potentially ruin the chance of keeping Halsin in the party for act 3? Doesn't seem likely. This quest is very buggy and I would like to keep Halsin, but I am stuck until they fix this quest.

He will gone, the in last light inn there's quest about art-something, you get that quest, and you speak to halsin, it will move his ass to last light inn instead sitting his ass in your camp mooching free food then you need to find the special lute from one of ketheric thorm son in house of healing, grab it and back to last light inn and play that he will wake up and explain about thaniel and will make halsin works for the first time. Follow the quest and halsin will explain about oliver, return back to the house now there's oliver again, talk and fight again and proceed the quest as you like

Same Issue. reported bug to Larian. didn't get the answer too. similar bug about saving gnomes in underdark not fixed at. quiet disappointing of current status.

the seriously annoying thing is Larian demanding file smaller than 20mb to diagnose bug and my save file in current is 23mb. can't do add to their report system. stupid.

I killed the parents and won the hide and seek game, he gave me a necklace and he's still waiting in the house. I did all that before I met art in the inn so hopefully the quest doesn't break, but Oliver is still around.

I didn't play hide and seek to the end and I killed his parents, Oliver disappeared. After that, I helped Art Cullagh and Halsin with Thaniel.
When Halsin returns with Thaniel, we have a dialogue choice about Oliver, Halsin sends us (with HIM!!!) back to Oliver.
So no, you can't break this quest if you kill Oliver's parents before doing anything else.

I did that but when I go back after all that to the house where I first met Oliver, he´s not there anymore. Cant see a way forward here

I too couldn't win the stealth game and thus had to fight mom & dad & dog. After the fight Oliver was standing in the house though. I do have Volos Ersatzauge - maybe he is just stealthed and I win the die roll without noticing?

Anyway, my idea is that with Halsin in the party and the quest of Halsin in the proper state a previously stealthed Oliver might be revealed. Just a guess though.

Did you speak with Halsin in the camp after bringing Thaniel back?
I had a choice at that point, asking me to go to Oliver's house again with Halsin (Haslin then tells us that we can't kill Oliver, so he must still be there).

As zpc says, maybe it's going there with Haslin at the right time that unblocks the situation.

Now I am back with the Thaniel quest and WITH Halsin in my party and OLIVER is there, but I cannot trigger any dialogue with him.

if Oliver is there and no reaction, try a hit with any weapon. internet said that might work
