woah, really? is it a bug or its intended to just not work at all?
Going by 5e rules, it should just pick whichever is higher, either the creature's natural armour, or 10 + creature's dex + creature's con. However in my testing it seemed to always use the creature's AC. Whether or not that's a bug or a design choice by Larian would be hard to tell without their confirmation.
yeah, i've read 5e rules, it should work no problem.. hopefully larian fixes it in the big update
thanks for testing
I will also mention that most of the useful Wild Shape forms in the game have a higher natural AC than 10 + Dex + Con, meaning even if Unarmored Defense worked, it wouldn't do anything for those forms.
The only forms that Unarmored Defense would work for are Badger, Bear and Deep Rothé.
Badger and Deep Rothé would have 2 more AC, Bear would have 1 more.
so considering this, a fighter 2 for action surge would be better than barb1 lock1?
or rage+criticals from barblock etc are better?
I think Moon Druid gets new wild shape forms at level 12 unless BG3 is different than table top. I think it’s every 3 levels, so 3, 6, 9, and 12.
its different in bg3, you get the last shapes at lvl 10, this is moon druid:
Level 2 - Wild Shape: Bear
Level 4 - Wild Shape: Dire Raven
Level 4 - Wild Shape: Deep Rothe
Level 6 - Wild Shape: Panther
Level 6 - Wild Shape: Owlbear
Level 8 - Wild Shape: Sabre-Toothed Tiger
Level 10 - Wild Shape: Dilophosaurus
Level 10 - Wild Shape: Air Myrmidon
Level 10 - Wild Shape: Earth Myrmidon
Level 10 - Wild Shape: Fire Myrmidon
Level 10 - Wild Shape: Water Myrmidon
Good to know thanks, was looking at playing Moon Druid in the future.
How did the wild shapes feel?
they are pretty busted to be fair, at least on normal, the owlbears destroys everything on its path, you also get 3 attacks per turn at lvl 10
