Adamantine Forge Stuck

I have 2 ores to make adamantin gears. I'm forging the first one middle of the boss fight without any issue. After the boss fight, when I put second ore and turn on the lava it does not flow. i tried hundreds of times trying different things. Every possible combination. But in the end lava still does not flow. How can i solve this?

When you click first time the lava wheel turns but lava doesn't flow. And if you try to turn the wheel second time it says "its stuck" "cant do that" or something like that

Huh. That's even more bugged than it was for me. It sucks, but I'd reload back before the first forging and start all over again. : \

i do that too. Killed the boss 2 times. The reason i cant forge it second time is the boss lying on the middle of the platform where you smash the ore. I lured the boss side of the platform when boss' hp is low and killed it. It turns out it wasnt the reason it was bug

I have this bug too (among many others, but that's beside the point, I suppose). I beat the boss, the lava went away, I collected the item and ejected the old mould, inserted a new mould and second mithril ore, turned the lava valve and got "it's stuck." Tried moving the platform up and down, ejecting and reinserting the mould, hitting the hammer lever, and skipping multiple turns. Nothing worked.

EDIT: I just realized the mithril chunk that I inserted the second time is still in my inventory, but the forge is no longer interactable, so I can't try to insert it again.

I was getting the stuck messages too. After inserting the Mithral Ore and mould in, the lava valve worked.

POSSIBLE SOLUTION- Worked for me

I just got to the forge today and had this exact issue. I fast traveled to underdark-ancient forge after I put in the mould and ore. The lava appeared to still be there but was not. I hit the hammer again to bring me down. went over and activated the lava. it looked like it didnt work for a second and then the middle where you put the ore, lowered. I activated the hammer again and it worked first try.

TLDR:
Situation-
Forge worked first time
Lava appears but is not actually there (does not hurt)
Mould and ore are properly placed
Lava wheel can be activated but the lava does not actually come out

Solution-
raise the platform
Fast travel to ancient forge
walk down and activate the forge lever to lower platform
activate lava wheel (test if it hurts or just is appearing)
activate forge lever again.

OP, I know you probably already moved on but I hope this works for you. GLHF

Edit: I went back to a previous save and repeated this process again because I accidentally made the wrong item, worked perfectly.

I had the lava stay on the ground for some reason, but turning the lava 'valve' still counted in the process to make items.

it says that when you do not have ore in the smelter, and/or a mold in the former. it's busted, in that it only expects you to have ONE ore for some weird reason. if you forge two things, the script gets lost and expects you to just continue making stuff, endlessly. You can see this if you load before making anything, go through the process, and at the end of making ONE thing, you will see the lava drain out. then, if you go ahead and make the second thing... the lava does not drain out. you are now stuck in an endless loop, and the button to raise the forge no longer works either. It amazes me, considering they had all of act1 in early access for over a YEAR. best thing to do is to warp back to the beginning of the level.

I had this same problem after about an hour tinkering this is what worked for me. I saved directly after defeating the forge boss. I touched nothing I did nothing after defeating the boss. to make another piece I had to do this in this exact order. "I dont know if it matters or not but I had no lava on the ground when i saved." I had one party member grab the loot from the boss and move on top of the mould with the first crafted armor still inside "UNTOUCHED!". I then had one party member re open the lava valve before touching the first crafted armor that was still in the forge. the lava would flow. I then had the other party member who was on top of the mould grab the first armor that was crafted out of the forge , eject mould, then insert a mould " I found you can even insert the mold you just ejected at this point to make a second armor of the same type" then inserted new Adamantine into the crucible. I then had the initial char who hit the lava flow hit the lava flow valve again the lava flowed and then finally had a 3rd char pull the forge lever to craft the second armor. It seems if the first armor that was crafted is taken out of the mould before hitting the lava flow valve everything gets stuck.

it fixed after some patches so problem solved.

for my instance, its a graphical bug, if you dont get the animations that plays when setting the mold in, and ore it wont work. even if you get the screen to put in the stuff, without the animations your dead in the water

I've got stuck on that thing as well, and spent a lot trying to fix that. We need to distinguish two situations:

1. Lava is not going off
2. Lava does not exist and lava valve "won't budge" - only hammer is working.

Fix for 1st:
Switch into turn-based-mode and wait/skip few turns.

Fix for 2nd:
The only one that worked (I think that I've tested every one from either reddit or steamcommunity) - reload previous save (before fight) and make sure that boss don't die in the middle. Honestly I didn't even use forge "hammer" to kill him, I've switched temporarily all my weapons, wait for him on respawn, use Lava valve, and spank him while he's overheated (you got 2 turns to do that). Only that worked and allowed me to craft 2 items :)

So not sure, cause of bug is either using forge "hammer" during fight or boss dying in the middle.

I just had this happen last night.
Seems like, if you do anything in the wrong order, the forge bugs and wont work the second time. I reloaded a save and was able to hit the reset button to raise the forge back up, put the mold in, put the ore in, hit it with the hammer to lower it, turn the lava wheel, then hit it with the hammer again to make the second item.

EDIT: For context, I saved and then tried to forge the second item directly after the forge guardian boss fight. Not sure if that timing is important to making the forge work a second time or not.

You only need to hit the forge once. Afrer it has been soaked in lava.
