Confused by Raphael's quest in act 2

I met him outside an entrance to a dungeon and he said to kill an enemy (he said a devil) of his inside but i completed the whole thing and only found Balthazar and then the Nightsong. I did kill Balthazar hoping he'd have a tadpole but spared Nightsong. Never met Raphael again i'm about to head to Balthur's Gate. Did i miss something?

Huh? He was just some random enemy? I guess i surprised his ambush so it started a fight. Raphael never contacted me after, did i mess up?

I've got no idea when/where Raphael contacts you at (or if he does) after the fight. I haven't left shars gauntlet yet in my playthrough (just finished the trials and then had to stop playing for work) so I'm still inside the temple. Maybe he pops up for the player at moonrise or something, or camp?

Well shoot, sadly I have no answer for ya then I'm sorry bud. Maybe he pops up in act 3. Maybe it's like a one time meeting with him per act type of thing? Someone further into the game will have to confirm or deny as I'm just guessing here lol

I talked to the devil guy and it took Raphael a bit to show up again. I think you’re good.
