Lower City Lag & Delayed actions!
Posting to spread the word and awareness, many players are suffering action lag in the lower city. Hoping it might be fixable with update! :steamthumbsup:

Cap your frame rate to 30. Smoothens things up until Larian does some optimization.

The problem is not with the pure fps, the problem is with the delayed activation of anything, attack, jump, loot everithing is "lagged" but not in fps just a delay in activating. Having the same problem, was sure it was something in my PC but well its not. After 40 hours of gameplay without 1 lag on ultra ( some crashes let say 10 total, used to that in many released games and getting less of those with each patch). And now i need to wait 3 seconds for my jump to activate, you cant play like that. A 10 enemy fight takes ages, even getting anywhere is so annoying.

Same problem here. I hope this will be fixed in Patch 2. Game is literally unplayable with this delayed actions, I mean every action takes 2 seconds at least, sometimes it goes up to 5 seconds to take an action.

Post specs, if you're running a slow CPU it's not larians fault. I've got a pretty old pc and there's some minor lag in the lower city but i deal with it because I know my CPU isn't fast enough.

I haven't checked it out since patch perhaps is fixed, My PC is decent I'm confident this is just out of the ordinary because the rest of the game run fine. after searching for answers it just seemed a decent amount of players had the same issue it's likely not to do with your PC specs if comparing to the rest of your experience being fine.

I have ran this game on 60fps ultra on multi with my friend just fine without any delay lag or pc heating. Even fought gortash in throne room with bazillion aoe spells up without even slighgtest lag.

Then I entered lower city and.. crash, graphic bugs and game jams even if set to under 30 fps and low settings in multi.

Seems like optimisation issue to me tbh.

Update : I just swapped my friends save to my pc ( he's the host)

In single player I CAN play the lower city just fine, no lag, max graphs.

In multiplayer I do not load textures and game crashes.

This is 100% multiplayer optimisation issue

I swapped the save from my friend to me, and hosted his save on my pc, it works just fine!

Mine : Toaster>
His: toaster -lite, we both use like 6 year old ( but at that time top of line) game pc'.s

Just tested on the same spot, no delay of any kind. And I have same specs as you.

Also holy hell, the loading time on that video

I've been having a similar issue since end of act 1 and start of act 2. Since I got to act 3 the delay has started to increase in time.

Thought so as well - and checked it with my saving point (never entered lower city before). And I got 1:12 minutes with my measly 4-years old kingston SSD. A bit faster then 1:30 from that video, but still... wow... Could you share your time?

Don't remember if it was longer when I got there for the first time, but I doubt it.
