Why is sorting so broken - or is it me?
When I sort by "Type" I would assume that means type as in Swords, Maces, Potions, Light Armor, Heavy Armor, etc.

But when I sort things are all mixed up, there will be some swords then axes, then armor etc.

For a game that has so many nice QoL things you would think it could sort gear properly.

It seems to sort based on an overall type - Melee Weapon, Ranged Weapon, Armor, Ring, Amulet - but then does so alphabetically within that category.

Then there are a lot of items that don't even qualify, at least in the traveler chest. Clothing for example isn't flagged as its own category so it just gets stuck alphabetically with everything from dyes to tadpole jars.

it's still absolutely beta release quality. if I sort my travellers chest, it's like sword, sword, dagger, salami, salami, salami, sword, great sword.

To be fair: you can use salami as sword substitute. So technically the sorting is correct.

^ This.

Inventory management is horrible in this game.

Absurd! It's also food, and using it as a weapon is a massive waste. That's like 6 camp supplies, and you need every last crumb. You should only have 2600 or something by the end of Act I, you could run out at any time!

The fact that sending your "food suppplies" from the inventory bag to the storage chest doesn't put it in a bag in the storage is also mindblowing. Even better, Alchemy supplies don't sort properly if you yeet them out of back and "sent to camp" which is just.. ... .... .. crazy

And sorting by Value sorts by the value of the stack, not the value of each item. So a stack of 20 hats have more "value" than a magic short sword.

They're just not figuring out how to get the Auto food counting button for Long Rest to count accurately up to 80, ffs.

For the record, it was about this bad in both D:OS games, too. Not sure why nobody over there ever thinks it could do with some improvement.
