I turned a horror into a shroom, then used it to fight the Bulette and turn that into a shroom, then used that to fight the Duergers at their lake camp and later the beholder Terror. Fun stuff, wish we could use that power on the surface somehow lol.
It can repair corpses.
Other spells that can cast on corpses usually could not cast on too damaged one.
but this spell can cast on burnt corpses.
I didn't kill the duergars at the underdark beach and head to Grymforge directly.
After I finished all the quest in the Forge.
I came back to Gekh. Expecting some reward for I returning the boots for him.
After getting noting I kill his squad and report to Spaw.
Spaw ask me for Nere's head, but I already damaged the body during the fight.
Out of frustration, I carry Nere's body back and place it in front of Spaw and got no response.
At this point I had never talked to Glut, but Glut grab me in a cut scene asking to see the dead duergars.
I bring him to the beach and found his plan usurping the Spaw. I happily agreed.
During the fight, Spaw animated Nere's body as his minion, and I killed it again.
The dead twice Nere suddenly glows with green light indicates it is no longer too damage to cast "speak with dead".
I reload to the save before I tried to remove Nere's head. (Do not loot it or the quest will fail)
Carry the body back the the underdark, team up Glut, and Animating spores the body and kill it.
This time I get to ask him some clues and remove his head for Spaw.
Interesting about Glut animating Nere.
I made sure I completed the Nere head cutting for Spaw, before talking to Glut. (I actually knew what Glut was going to propose after killing the Duerger, so reloaded and ignored showing Glut the dead dwarfs in the camp. Instead I took the boat over to find Nere. Glut could not go, and said he'd meet be back in the shroom ghrotto. When I came back with Nere's head, I presented it to Spaw, got his reward and he rejoiced, called be peace bringer and his high-shroom minons all swayed like they were smok'n shrooms or something (go figure). Then I found glut right below Spaw. Talked to him, he then proposed me killing Spaw. I accepted. Went back up to Spaw (set my soft members in the higher mushroom above). Told Spaw I was killiing him for Glut. He denounced me as rot. I nuked his area with a fireball (killed all the other npcs instantly). Then pounced on him with the animated Bulette from above. He went flying over the water fall into the chasm lol.
So I never got to see Glut animate Nere. That would be cool to check out.
I planed to play as an villainish character in the future.
I may do something like your play through.
Lol yeah I've been sorta straddling the line between good and bad. In the Spaw/Glut case, I just wanted to make sure I didn't miss out on any of their loot they offered.
(Some of the quest dialogue options are super funny... like the witch one with the girl's husband turning into a zombie. I couldn't resist taking her zomb-hubby off her hands as a pet lol. And I about peed my pants from laughing when I let Volo poke my eye with an ice pick, listening to all that squishy sound... it was well worth the torment!). I liked sweet-talking and playing the bad guy part to infiltrate the goblin camp, enjoying getting tortured by the wacko priest, then completely whacking the goblin bosses when I got what I wanted from it (like I wasn't going to be bothered about attacking the druids, so just opened up a can of whoop-arse from the rafters of the goblin camps... didn't like their ambush trying to exit their front door after that, so went through the Underdark though the goblin priest's room, and did all the cave stuff. Then finally went back outside after Nere, Glut/Spaw etc... did Masterwork weapon thing, then took out the rest of the goblins from the outside. My main character is a self-made assassin rogue... so most of my kills are from her sneaking and sniping with a bow (it's interesting that on the open map if you're hidden and attack (w/ stealth range/bow), you get about 3 shots off before anybody else gets involved (1st is the free open map shot, 2nd is the free combat-round "surprised" shot, the 3rd shot I think is due to my high initiative starting the round for my party). Usually this is plenty enough to kill a single target, so you can hide and shoot again on the next oblivious target nearby and repeat... making encounters on the open map much easier than full brawls involving the rest of the party). It's been a great adventure thus far (only level 5)!
I'm on my ranger knight shining armor play through.
Astarion is my assassin rogue, though his evil nature often conflicted with my choices, but rogue is too damn useful to ignore and some how he hasn't knife me so far.
He does all the dirty jobs for the party while my ranger, Shadowheart, and Karlach can stay on the high horse.
I plan to play as a power hungry villain in the future. Team up with Minthara, master all the tadpole power, and make every dark choices. Using all the experiences of this positive play through to eliminate the most NPCs while not breaking the quests.
This game just gives way too much fun.
Astarion got off'd by that hunter I invited back to my camp :-O I wasn't using him anyways after he sucked my neck the first time (was upset it debuffed my lock picking). I parked him in camp, then later when I found that hunter, I told him about Astarion and our camp. Ended up resting much later, forgot about the hunter, woke up and Astarion was "gone". Oh well, haven't missed him... I didn't like how he talked anyways lol. Maybe next time I'll use him.
