Lower Difficulty?
Any shame to it? I ask strictly cause while I managed to get the main portion of the gob camp, and right into the first long sleep(?) I'm kinda wondering if I missed anything

It's a primarily single player game and it's up to you how to play it, no matter what. So as to the shame aspect, no not unless you're a member of a community that says there is.

As for differences between difficulties; Not too much between the bottom and middle tier, but tactician does makes the AI more aggressive and it takes advantage of the environment more often.

And if you want the game to just be generally harder across the board, balanced and tactician both increase the thresholds for pretty much everything when you roll the dice.

Yeah, go for it. There really isnt' a world of difference between any of the difficulty levels from the testing I've done.

Considering how balanced has been to me I may keep that save, but roll a save on the lower difficulty so I don't tear my heart in half from rng rage..

IIRC you can change the difficulty at any time as well from the escape menu, as well.

Save scum like a champ. I had a great win in a taxing fight earlier and the game locked up while saving after (too many save files accumulating (does the setting to limit auto and quick even work??)) It took another few reloads to get the win again due to some rough rng
