Choosing a companion to sacrifice BOOOAL

Tell me which of the companions of the first act should be sacrificed ? I play solo and companions are needed only for the sake of the story and their unique quests. They all give something cool ? I play a thief archer.

Ah, sorry. All origin characters have large side quest chains. So I wouldn't sacrifice them. But if you want that buff just pick a companion you hate the most. I personally think that advantage against bleeding targets is not that great.

There is also Volo's eye buff, which is good for CHA based classes.

Each companion has a unique goal/quest in the game, I recommend if it your first run to keep them alive so you can engage in their story lines unless you really want a buff to have advantage against bleeding targets. Just choose who you care least about if you really want the buff even though it is kinda meh unless you have a consistent way to make enemies bleed every turn or most turns of combat. Try and see if you can sacrifice a hireling...

Well, say Priestess Shar can get a legendary spear for her quest, what about the others? You have to choose by the rewards.

The boon was offloaded to a weapon that you can get through persuasion or even hard checks to convince the kuo-toa to turn on BOOOAL. It's not a permanent effect anymore.

Weapon buffs suck, why would you need one when you have a permanent option?

Doesn't she have any legendary items in the storyline? I didn’t find where to see what reward we get for companions

In Act 1 there are companions that have no story or unique items ? For example, the druid of the grove, I think sacrificing him is a no lose option.

I don't know, I don't think you can. I'll check today. Do you know which characters can be companions but have absolutely no quests or anything? I think there's a couple of them in act 2.

Well ♥♥♥♥, I killed off all my companions but karlach and I think she's hilarious so I guess no buff for me.

Yeah hirelings would never work because Larian wants you to give up something of value. Hirelings are clearly fodder and people you aren't meant to have an attachment to.

So I agree with the other dude, sacrifice Karlach. Simple process of elimination.
