I've killed all of them and I didn't get the drop
And then there is one by the demon guy at the spot with the displacer beast.
In one playthrough I was told I had all the gems, which was weird because they were not on my main avatar. Turns out that I at some point had picked up one gem on a whole other avatar.
So look for that too.
guess its a bug
it also gives me an option to re-blood the trial but dont get anything else
easy bandaid fix would be to make each umbral gem unique to a trial, allow people to replay the trial by re-blooding it, and require one of each gem
Normally, the last clone killed is the one that drops the umbral gem, and the ring spawns in a puddle of blood next to the brazier at the top of the stairs. If you succeed the perception check to notice the ambush, you can set up sneak-attacks on the two clones on the lower level to counter-ambush them and make replaying the fight much easier.
I want to like this game, but damn is it unstable and buggy. Black screens, locking up while loading, quest items never appearing in game, soft locks due to conversation loops.... all I've had happen today.
