If you are just talking about different types of armor providing a different appearance to your character then yes, there is a wide range of variety in appearances of different armors.
For example there are some strong buffed boots but they look too clunky, in some other regrion i looted nicer looking boots with less specs. In AC odyssey you can just overhaul the appearence from the earlyer looted stuff with the armor you are wearing at the moment. The numbers stay the same, its just visually changed.
Whatever name suits your taste i guess..
It'll get some patches but I doubt there's going to be any added content. Larian doesn't make additional content, just some polish and patches.
They might but I'd be shocked.
Im not saying this game is bad, im saying it would be a nice feature if "morphing" armor would be implemented.
