So yeah, that is the 3rd quest so far I got stuck with... To be honest, I'm glad they're just sidequests but I like completing stuff! BTW, I went to kill everyone in the Fireworks shop
That didn't complete the quest.
I killed Arfur when I first started Act 3 (he had his guards attack me when I pressed him) before I went to the barn. I tried casting speak with dead on him and can ask him why he did it, but he doesn't mention the fireworks store or provide a secret code and the objective doesn't update.
So, I also killed Arfur at the pretty much first encounter. I sent the people away and have him retake his home and investigated, found out about the stuff and confronted him about it and then killed him.
I then was also stuck at the point where it said: "Find the suspicious toys".
Then I found the barn, found the toys and there I was. The guy dead, found the toys but the quest still said I had to find the toys. The dwarf at the barn also didn't talk to me.
Now, here's the trick how you can actually keep going with the quest even though it's completely stuck.
You have to shapeshift and disguise your appearance with whatever really and then you can talk to Arfur by using the spell where you talk with the dead and he will talk to you. You specifically ask everything that involves explosives and who "they are" and that will continue the quest. Questtions about the refugees and the guild are not necessary.
I loaded up my original save to try this.
I asked why he donated the explosives, then why they wanted him to put explosives in the toys. This exhausted that dialogue tree.
I asked him what his connected to the guild was and that dialogue tree exhausted. The only remaining dialogue is why he hates the refugees so much.
No quest update and never got to ask about "them"
You can ask 4 questions when talking to the dead, so asking him about the explosives as in why they were in the toys, why they wanted him to put those in there and then something new entirely of who they are or something like that. That does update the quest log and the questions about the guild and why he hates them, are just a waste of an option as those don't do anything, so avoid them whenever you have the chance.
That at least should do it.
