.. And now she lies dead in the bottom of the cliff. To far away to help her or to use scroll. Only way to rezz is to get help from skeleton at base??? Costs 200 which I dont have atm. Any other ideas? First temple location.

Yeah, wait until you have enough gold then resurrect them or cheat or save scum.

If they leap to their death usually they leave behind a glowing blue spot near the edge of the ledge with their gear. You can cast Revivify on that with the scrolls they give you in the tutorial.

If you can't cast revivify on the little blue orb they left, just wait until you have enough gold to revive them.

Thx. Just got one hour in the game did not notice the big red icon DEATH and jumped. I believe the blu orb is too far away. So i need gooolllddd..

the AI can absolutely do this, it happened to me, shadowheart randomly jumped off a cliff trying to follow me across.
at first i was like wtf did she die from old age or something? luckily i had dvr turned on and it showed her jumping off.

If you have a scroll of Revivify and are having trouble targeting a dead character's corpse, you can usually also target their portrait. Has worked for me numerous times when a party member has been shoved off a ledge.

well first theres other companions you can use besides them, although, im not sure if you can dismiss a companion thats dead (not sure how that works) but assuming it will let you, you could just grab a hireling and use them instead of the person you let die

i almost had to abandon astarion last night because he fell victim to the shadowcurse. and he went invisible everytime he killed someone so...it was...a rough experience.
