Gaseous Form can't pass through gates?

Using gaseous form I can squeeze down tiny holes but I can't pass through a wrought iron gate?

Came here to say the same thing. A locked gate with bars SHOULD be passable in gaseous form. No real explanation as to why it doesn't work.

Probably an oversight.

Several situations in which certain spells and abilities don't really perform as you would think they would.

There's a few really obvious DnD things missing. I was fighting the Adamantine Gollum and I was like, wait, I know. I'll forge the weapon then banish him...giving me two turns to escape battle and go back to camp. NOPE! You just stand around for 2 turns doing nothing. What's the point of banishment if you can't use it to escape?

As far as I can tell it's only good for moving through lava, and getting through burrows, which you can usually get around in other ways. They don't actually go some place you can't get to that you can't without a lock pick.

Was about to complain about this, but while trying a few things, I activated the fly ability you get while in gaseous form and it let me pass through the gate. I don't know if it was just a quirk of that specific gate it worked with or if it works with any gate.

use fly. you'll pass straight through the gate. done it multiple times in multiple places. would make more sense if you just automatically passed through them but still.

No, there is a special movement option called fly that you get while in fart cloud mode. You have to specifically pick it to do things like, well, fly around.
