Monk Armor/Outfits
Hi, I'm playing as a monk and I am worried about the lack of "monk armor." I can't wear traditional armor due to its impact on my monks AC. But I don't want to wear ugly robes either. I was hoping that monks would get some type of martial arts gi 🥋 or something similar. I'm still in act 1, will my monk's options improve later in the game?

Act 1 doesnt have monk gear, i think. Mb im wrong. But in act 2 and act 3 i found multiple pieces of monk gear. Some of it was sold by vendors other as a loot from gith and chests. Act 1 does have bracelets that give you 2 AC if your are without armor. Should be enough at first.
By monk gear do you mean clothing items other than robes?
yes. With specific bonuses for monk class.

I finally found a "monk outfit" at the beginning of act 2! Unfortunately it makes me look like a reject from fist of the north star lol.

WHERE DID YOU GET THIS. I had this armor briefly and I save scummed it away from existence and I cannot remember where I got it.

There is 1 Clothing for in underdark, it gives some passive spell effect.

There certainly are a fair few powerful Monk robes in acts 2 and 3. My main problem with them is that they look, to my eye, horribly goofy. I ended up using the toggle to keep my Monk in her camp clothes, the backless outfit looks pretty decent in the right colours. It also means she's not visibly wearing a cloak, which otherwise tends to make her look like a bad cosplayer.

I can state with certainty that there are several pieces of gear that while not designed specifically for Monks, they work well (at least a couple of quarterstaves, some gauntlets and hoods that don't count as armor, as well as rings and necklaces) in Act 1. You run across several merchants throughout Act 2 that have better gear, some designed for Monks specifically.

It does, gloves of uninhibited Kushigo are given by Darryth in the underdark for saving Baelen her husband, armor of uninhibited Kushigo is given by Thrinn at the underdark Grymforge for giving her, the boots stolen from her by Thulla, you can buy the hat of uninhibited Kushigo at Talli at last light inn almost right at the start of act 2, the boots sadly don't make an appearance until act 3

This is already old, youay already know, but the gloves of Kushigo are a reward for Darryths underdark quest to find her husband Baelen, and the body armor is a reward for getting Thrinn the Druergar her boots back stolen from her by Thulla, the hate can be purchased from Talli at last light almost right at the start of act 2, the boots don't come in until act three, but there is a ton of monk gear in BG3 I think 3 or 4 armors total 2 or 3 paris of boots and hats and like 9 pairs of gloves.
