Hilariously, there was an encounter in camp, too - I threw it down thinking not much of it, but a companion I never took on my party and thus never leveled walked right through it and died, lol.
Below the player icon is a way to end concentrations but there often isn't enough time, which is indeed a shame.
Your companions don't try to avoid hazards at all.
The same thing applies to any other hazards really that you don't want your party to walk through. Turn it into turn based mode and navigate everyone around it. Not ideal yes but it works.
A turn is 6 seconds but otherwise correct yes.
this. it did take me a little while to figure out where the icon was for shutting down concentration, but hitting turn based mode as soon as combat ENDS, and then removing any offensive concentration spells does work. it very much looks like it was indeed intended to work that way. MY main concern is that allies not in your party do not seem to understand they need to stop THEIR spells as well.
that's why you can unchain your party members to manually move them through dangerous places with lots of hidden traps. like the swamp. you indeed ARE SUPPOSED TO manage your party members individually in some cases. and the game literally gives you the tools to do just that. even for familiars!
Indeed - moonbeam is yet another one of those funny ally killers. From combat to combat
What did I just say? Micro manage :) Otherwise, I would just need to give one click command and they would make decision for themselves if pathfinding is perfection. I know we can't have it all.
What bothers me is, companions getting stuck all the time, because they can't make the jump or just run over something that's easily avoidable and it get tiring sometimes to guide them over the courses that are not that hard to navigate through.
That's all I am saying ... like walking into Daggers when you npc's are clearly aware it will kill them or damage them badly.
Their pathfinding is so good at avoiding certain things and then so bad at others
In this case, that evocation wizard feature actually seems useful if it wasnt so boring.
