Like theres one quarter staff that gives you resistance to the same element you cast, when it should give the opposite resistance of what you cast.
If Im casting cold, obviously Id be wanting fire resistance not cold resistance (Grym boss comes to mind)
It can also be hard to tell when something's working because for some reason they decided on vague item descriptions rather than saying exactly what something does. They should fire whoever wrote a dozen item descriptions that references a chance of something happening without saying what that chance is.
in baldursgate 2 or neverwinter nights also icewind dale there are so many good items that really have an effect, in nerwinter nights there were items so good that you could build a whole char around this weapon.
but here? ... whether you have a +1 weapon or not, it has no effect on the outcome of a fight.
what about rings of protection, bracers with extra ac, jewellery with 1-2 extra stats, simply nothing useful in the game
The one that messes with me is all of the items that look like they've been designed incorrectly. Like that ring that means when you poison an enemy they get a poison cloud status which doesn't hurt them or their allies but only hurts your characters. I'm certain they've got that backwards.
Hoarfrost boots let you get proned on ice.
Life steel sword only damages undead and constructs with necro damage. (No clue why, but after one point it just switches around, and does the opposite what it should.)
There is also the item that i think protects you vs prone while using a concentration item that does not work neither.
Some are from own experience others from tech and gameplay discus.
