Level 6 is the main cut off for Aura of Protection (+5 to all saving throws party-wide.)
Oath of the Ancients
Level 7 is the main cut off for Aura of Warding (Halves spell damage party-wide.)
Warlock is superior at the moment due to the Extra Attack from Paladin which stacks with the Extra Attack from Pact of the Blade (Enhanced Pact Weapon) Warlock.
So I recommend Ancients 7 / Fiend 5 if you want to min-max.
- Temp health on each kill
- Two fireballs that come back on short rest
- Three attacks per turn (smites on each)
- Most powerful ranged cantrip in the game (with a knockback.)
- Devil's sight so you don't have to pick a darkvision race.
I'd start Paladin 1 for Heavy Armor / AoE Heal / Lay on Hands
Then go straight to Paladin 1 / Warlock 5
You can start with 16 STR and later respec it to 17 CHR when Warlock hits level 3.
Or just use Eldritch Blast from levels 2-4 with no respecs.
Well, that's nutts.
People don't mention Aura of Hate (Level 7 Oathbreaker) because it doesn't affect your entire team. Only yourself, undead, and fiends (this includes enemies.) Only good for a Necromancer party.
Do they add up in any way? Or do they upgrade their tier if you take other casting classes?
