Multiclassing as a barbarian?
I am getting close to the point where i can multiclass. As a barbarian I was kind of leaning towards druid as I have heard you can keep your rage going even in beast form, but I am unfamiliar with the ins and outs of multiclassing in this setting. Anyone have any comments or recommendations? Other than just not multiclassing, my other idea was fighter to get the superiority dice.

I don't have the info on how rage and druid forms interact, someone else will need to clarify that one, but a good option you could take is at least two levels of fighter to get second wind and action surge. Pretty powerful stuff right there.

Only way to rage in wild shape is to rage before and then transform... which is pretty dumb since you get wild shape built in rage later, but only for that transformation.

There are some options, imo it multiclasses very well with a fighter (champion) to level 3, for action sirge and improved critical, especially if you are playing as an orc

Unless you really know what you're doing, the first thing to consider is if the two classes share a main stat. Fighter and Barbarian (usually) both rely on strength a lot.
Druid on the other hand, is a Wisdom class. So, you'll want to make sure the features of the class you're after will still function well with a lower main stat.

One the other other hand, it's only 100 gold to respec, so don't be afraid to experiment.

It pairs well with a Circle of the Moon druid. Rage works in animal form (rage first, transform second).

Could just go for 2 or 3 levels in Fighter. 2 levels for action surge, or 3 levels for Champion's Improved Critical.

Fighter is a common dip for Barbarians, yes. Either 2 or 3 levels is good, especially since levels 10-12 for Barbarian don't give you anything nearly as useful as dipping into Fighter would.

you could also consider thief, for the bonus action, especially for berserker.

Thanks for the responses so far gamers! I will research more into a druid multiclass, but for now (until I reach the point of no return) it is sounding like fighter is the practical choice. I may just end up going druid though. Something about a Bear fueled by Rage really speaks to my Outlander Half-Orc

I multi-classed Karlach into rogue. I went with Wildheart, not berserker. 8 Wildheart/4 Thief.

Dual wielding rapiers. With Bear Heart and Stallion I get Resistance to everything except Psychic damage and every time she dashes, she gains hit points. With 2 bonus actions for offhand attacks and extra attack she gets a ton of attacks per round, and reckless attack guarantees she always meets the criteria for sneak attack damage every turn.

It's pretty fun.

Berserker 8 / Thief 4 has been my beast.
(Barbarian 5, Rogue 3 to get the build online.)

Berserker is extremely thirsty for Bonus Actions:
Bonus Action Rage
Bonus Action Jump
Bonus Action Cunning Dash
Bonus Action Frenzied Strike
Bonus Action Enraged Throw
Bonus Action Great Weapon Master bonus attack
Bonus Action Polearm Master attack

Thief 4 get's you a second bonus action each turn without losing feats for STR, Great Weapon Master / Polearm Master.

I am Looking, I am Absorbing Information.. I'm very glad I made this thread! It had never even occured to me to use things like theif for my barbarian multiclass!

I second Thief Rogue for Frenzied Berserker Barbarian. I recommend Tavern Brawler Feat if you can fit it in, and making use of Enraged Throw as much as possible.
