Exclamation mark stuck, progression too?

I'm in Act 2. In the Inn, I gave Shadowheart a night orchid and now her exclamation mark is stuck. I should've reloaded there and then but instead I played on for HOURS expecting this to fix itself, but it doesn't. Now I also wonder if progression is stuck?

Nothing happens when ending the day / going to sleep anymore. Is this because I haven't gotten to the Moonrise Towers yet? In Act 1, almost always some cutscene happened. I'm surprised not even the Guardian has visited me anymore since forever.

I'm afraid something is seriously broken, because I had a companion progression breaking bug earlier I miraculously figured out by myself: After I protected the Druid Grove and got to the celebration in the camp, I "told" the narrator that I wanted Karlach to visit me at night. Nothing happened, though, and my progression with her didn't continue. I felt something was off, so I reloaded and it happened again. So I reloaded again, had her leave the group, saved the game, reloaded, and had her join the group again. This triggered something, somehow, and when I went to bed after the celebration, she did come to me.

It was remarkably perceptive of myself that I just didn't trust it and went to that length to fix an uncomfirmed bug (it was just my hunch). Now I have that same hunch again, but I'm 10 hours past the point where the bug was triggered.

LARIAN, FIX THIS!!

It's a bug that needs fixing. Nothing is stalled it just stays above her head. Just check with her after a couple of things and see if she has anything new to say. I can't remember exactly when it went away for me in my run. Either sometime during Act2 or early in act3.

Pfew, I hope this is the case for me too. She isn't my romance -- Karlach is -- but I'm still rooting for her. I also hope choosing Karlach over her didn't push her further into Shar's arms...

As far as I have seen it doesn't stop their story just gives them a new companion in the form of a mark over their head lol I kinda grew attached to wylls, I named him jooal he is my 5th party member!

I doubt romancing Karlach will have much to do with her storyline, since I'm pretty sure you can do whatever regardless of a romance. Don't quote me on that, but nothing I saw seemed hinged on romancing her.
